Caracol Park
When you come to Gramado, a good tip is to visit your neighboring city, Canela, to get to know one of the main attractions of the Serra Gaúcha: the Caracol Waterfall. Located in Caracol Park, in RS 466, it is formed by the arroyo of the same name and plummets in a free fall of 131 meters. It is not even necessary to say that the waterfall impresses by its beauty, amid the green nature.
The Caracol Park offers the tourist a closer contact with nature, through ecological trails and vast vegetation.
You can photograph the cascade of the belvedere, which provides a beautiful view of the waters, the Valley and the native forest of the park. If you like, you can also face about 700 steps to reach the base of the waterfall and have a privileged angle for your photos.
To enjoy the waterfall more closely you need to have good physical stamina. But, anyone getting bored on the way, can sit on one of the seats, strategically positioned along the way.
In Caracol Park, you can still find other attractions. One of them is a train ride, which tells the story of immigration in the south of the country and takes passengers to the Imigrantes Village.
