ARPOADOR

Next to Ipanema, is this beach and rock formation that, like the neighbor, was already inspiration for the lyrics (to see you and not want you, is unlikely, it's impossible ... it's like going to Arpoador and not seeing the sea). I would say it is unlikely, it is impossible, to go to Ipanema and not see the Arpoador. The place is funky at sunset, applauded by couples, families and groups of friends in the late afternoon.

Frequented by surfers even at night, thanks to the special lighting, the Arpoador is one of the best spots in the city to enjoy the sunset - the stone unveils panoramic views of the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon with the Dois Irmãos hill in the background. Next to it is the tiny Devil's beach, with strong waves. Arpoador also offers bodybuilding equipment, skateboard and kiosks, as well as the Garota de Ipanema park, with programming of MPB shows in the middle of the trees during the summer.
