COLONY OF FISHERMEN

Located in the 6th position of Copacabana Beach, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), the neighborhood's Fisherman's Colony attracts tourists and offers fresh fish to the locals. The space belongs to the Z-13 colony that gathers more than one thousand fishing professionals from Urca to Pontal do Recreio, with nuclei in Jacarepaguá and Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.

In Copacabana, 20 vessels, which have between three and four fishermen, carry out artisanal fishing. "They have the tradition of going to sea every day. Boats leave between 5am and 5:30 am and are collected around 9am.
